Pishon Digital

Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

1. Who we are

Pishon Digital (“Pishon Digital”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a South African software company. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit https://pishondigital.com, use our customer or partner portals, or otherwise interact with us.

We process personal information in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). If you are accessing our site from outside South Africa, other privacy laws (such as the GDPR) may also apply, and we apply the same standard of care regardless of where you are.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us directly — when you submit an enquiry, request a demo or quote, apply for a role, register for a referral, sign up for the customer or partner portal, or contact support. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message or application (including a CV, if you apply for a role).
  • Account information — if you create a customer or partner portal account, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
  • Usage information — basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working correctly (see Section 6, Cookies).

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries, demo requests, quote requests, and support tickets
  • Create and manage your customer or partner portal account
  • Process job applications you submit through our careers page
  • Send transactional communications, such as confirmations and account notifications
  • Maintain the security of our systems, including recording login activity to detect unauthorised access
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where necessary to run our business, and only with service providers bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations:

  • Resend — to deliver transactional emails (account, enquiry, and notification emails).
  • Vercel — to host this website and its application infrastructure.
  • Supabase — to store data in our production database.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we’ll take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as it’s needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, for the duration of a customer relationship, or for as long as required to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Job applications and unconverted enquiries are retained for a reasonable period to allow us to follow up, after which they are deleted.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in to the admin, customer, and partner portals (session/authentication cookies). We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access controls for our staff, and an audit trail of administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information protected and will notify affected individuals as required by law in the event of a data breach.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to any legal retention requirements
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing of your information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. If you believe we haven’t handled your information properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do. Material changes will be communicated more prominently where appropriate.
